my very first binge episode

Hi all, well... for the last few weeks my life has been really stressful. I'm graduating next month and I'm also working, exercising, dieting, etc.
This week is the presentation of my final project for graduating college, and yesterday I was like: **** it, and I was literally eating all day long, I just couldn't stop, and after I ate everything I went to the store, bought a lot of junk and ate it all.
No idea how many calories I consumed and I really don't feel any remorse about eating but I'm still anxious about my final project and life in general.
What can I do to stop? Like I said, I don't feel guilty about eating what I ate but I still have the whole week ahead of me, and I just don't want to eat my anxiety away for the whole week.
Do you guys/gals have any tips for me?
thanks a lot!

Girl, look at your profile pic! You've done a great job so far.
Just walk away from it. Go DO something that isn't eating. And remind yourself, that this one day will not undo all your hard work. Just move on.0 -
I chew gum. That is what helps me to not eat mindlessly. :ohwell:0

A binge every so often is a good relief valve for the psychological tension created by dieting to lose weight. Let yourself off the hook for the binge and then get back on the wagon. Try to remember that a binge does not destroy all your good work up to now--that always helps me to re-dedicate myself to my weight goal and get back with the program. I also agree that getting away from the kitchen by taking a walk or going somewhere without food is a good distraction from the current urge to snarf.0

File it under "**** happens"
Dont use the stress as an excuse to binge for the whole week, you know?
Stress will always be there in one form or another.
In the end, youre doing great and a binge day isnt gonna kill you.
As to the stressors? You can only eat the elephant one way - one piece at a time.
Deep breath, refocus and remember to love yoursel, because thats who youre doing all this hard work for....

Thank you very much all!
@Taramaclaren I'll check that thread out, thank you!
I think I'm going to up my calories to maintainance for the week. I don't really go hungry with my diet, but just to be safe and relax a little.0 -
First of all you look great!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think where you are very stressed out, it had brought on the binge! Sometimes when I feel low, I can have a crazy binge!
But then I am like - Oh well, its done now, there is no point crying about it.
I would say, Just move on from it, Concentrate on the important things in your life at the moment.
Yes up your calories a bit too, Try and get some good fats in your diet, veggies, fruit etc - Also lots of water to clear your head & flush everything out : )
Good luck!!0
