How long did it take you to tone resistant areas?

Everyone has that one spot which seems to be resistant to toning or weight loss. For me it definitely has to be my thighs. I managed to tone them a long time ago through rollerblading but had gotten out of the habit since. I really can't remember how long it took to tone them, especially the inner adductors. I think it could've been a solid 5 months of 30 minutes of daily blading.
Today, my upper body has toned up quickly. But my thighs are taking their sweet time and it's been 4 months since I began to really focus on fitness again.
So how long did it take you?
