Inches not pounds...

Hey all,
I've been working out and eating right for the past year and in the first six months I did really well and lost 30lbs. Then I seemed to hit a plateau. I figured it was because I was using the same regimen everyday. This past month and a half I have started adding circuit training with weights 2x a week and a 'Couch to 5k' program for running. I've been following it closely and never miss a work out. I pretty strictly follow the 80/20 rule for diet and rarely go over my calories.
I've lost 2 lbs in the past month and a half, so frustrating for me! I did take the initiative of starting to measure once a month. I've lost an inch each in my waist, hips, bust, thighs, and (for lack of a better word) stomach pudge and 1/2 inch each in my upper arms. How is this lack of lbs lost possible? Is losing inches better than losing lbs?
I understand I might be gaining muscle at the same time but I have enough fat left to lose I feel like I should be losing lbs too... Has anyone else had this issue?
Thank you all for any insight you might have!

No one sees the number on the scale, everyone can see the inches you've lost. Would you rather be the same size but see a lower number on the scale, or weigh the same but be two sizes smaller? Focus on how you look, not some number.0

I'd take inches over pounds any day.

Thanks guys! I do feel good that I've lost the inches and definitely love that I feel stronger when I run. I just have 30-40lbs left to lose and want them gone, lol.0
