I have been using the mfp app since 4/26. And I was super excited about it at first, but then 5 weeks in, I don't weigh what it said I would. So I am having difficulty sticking to this.
I went to the doctors before I started and I weighed 183 at 5'6.
I noticed my home scale was off by 3 pounds so I adjusted it but now I have no clue what I really weigh. I tried to use a few scales in a store yesterday but they all gave different weights.
I usually stay around my 1200 calories, and I walk about 8 miles a week (give or take). I was doing mini workouts where I would do 25 squats, 25 crunches, 25 leg lifts, etc. But I am losing motivation because I don't see a difference. My clothes fit the same, I feel the same.
I have a few friends who have lost over 15 pounds on WW, but I can't afford it. And apparently this is basically the same thing. So why haven't I lost anything?? :-(
I have had a few people tell me I have lost weight in my face, but seriously the most I could of lost would be like 3 pounds, if that.
I don't know what to do. I just want to cry because I have no support and no one at home understands how much it means to me to lose this weight. We are planning another pregnancy at the end of the year and I want to weigh less than 160 so it's easier to lose whatever I gain. I have had two pregnancies first started at 176 ended at 230, maintained at 195 for 2 years then lost a ton. Second I started at 174, went down to 163 then up to 200, currently maintaining at 183ish a year later.
I am sorry this post is all over the place. My goal was to lose at least 10-15 pounds by the 4th of july. I started the beginning of April (originally on a different app)
I have a month left. Realistic goal or not I feel like I could of done it but messed up somehow.
How do you re-motivate yourself when you are in a slump? What can I be doing better?

For me I have to have an upcoming challenge to get back on track. Pick a local race, a running group, an outfit, something to work towards. I joined a bootcamp with my son and set myself a personal challenge for the month. Good luck, friend me if you want support0

It takes time, lots and lots of time! Sorry but you didn't gain the weight overnight so you will not lose it overnight. Consitantly track your food, keep your goal in mind and don't let yourself slip, but if you do it's not the end of the world just get up and keep going. This is hard but completly possible. MFP is here to help provide support when you need it, this site is a fantastic tool if you use it. In the end it is completly up to you to stay focussed.0

As we age losing gets harder, plus you have 2 little ones who need attention also. Sleep may also be part of your issue. I lose ALL motivation when I don't get enough sleep. Don't get caught up with the numbers, different scales at different times of day wearing different clothes will give you different numbers. Concentrate on feeling stronger and getting some energy back instead of only on losing pounds. Try getting some exercises to strengthen your core and lower abdominal muscles which will help get you ready for another pregnancy. I made the mistake of not doing this before my third pregnancy and had a rough last 4 months. Good luck.0
