I am going to the pool this weekend with my kids and friend, and I would like some ideas for what to take for lunch and snacks for myself...any suggestions?

I eat grilled burgers, macaroni salad, pretty much everything I eat at home. That's because my pool is at home. BWAAAAHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHHAHAH.

When going to the pool I fix sandwiches and take lots of fruit and water.

Fruit and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My dad used to bring them when we went to the beach. They are amazing when you are really hungry and have been exercising. Use hearty bread so they don't get mushy. If you don't like the sugar in jelly, make your own in a few mins with no sugar pectin.

No sugar blueberry jam: (my favorite because there is no prep. Fruit juice is perfect too)
    1 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    1 cup water
1 T ball so sugar pectin

-mix well and bring to a boil that doesn't go away when stired
-pour into jar and put in fridge
-use quickly since it isn't processd.

I don't always eat at the pool, but when I do, I prefer to eat out.

Because I am a homebody, I go to work, and home, and it's easy to pop a lean cuisine in the microwave....

    Yes please!

My favorite is fruit! But make sure you cover it so the bugs don't get to it. I wanted to go to the pool today, since it is my day off, but it's raining. Of course.

Sandwiches...pickles, chips, fruit to snack on...beer, etc.

One of the neighborhood pools near us also has grills available so I often grill up burgers and dogs for the pool party...potato salad goes well here too.

Snickers bars and leave them all over the place, especially in the water.
