Okay, help me out because I'm not understanding something about JJ's bread. On their nutrition calculator, it has three different entries for bread.

1. French Bread - for sub
2. French Bread - for club or slim
3. Wheat Bread

And the calories for each one are as follows:

1. 250
2. 345
3. 346

Okay, so I do not understand why the french bread for a sub is different for the french bread for a club.... and why it is a 100-calorie difference!!! I know that JJ's rips out the fluffy middle parts of the french bread, but do they only do that for subs? Wouldn't you assume they'd do that for the clubs instead, since those are the sandwiches with far more stuffing? Do they not rip out the fluffy stuff for clubs because those sandwiches are supposed to be bigger??

I'm so confused. Help me understand this.

  • They take the inside of the bread out for a sub sandwich but leave it in on clubs and slims. they reason they do this is because they dont want you to taste all bread on a sub because there is not as much meat and cheese on them.

I love their #5 Vito, but it's 600 cals for just the sandwich! Insane! I've started getting the #12 in Unwich form (lettuce wrap) with no mayo & cheese....a delicious alternative for right around 300! Can't beat it!
