Vicious cycle...

I find that if and when I restrict my calories I get caught up in a vicious cycle where I just can't catch up again, even if I hit my calorie goal, my net and my macro's. The only way I know how to describe the feeling is... My belly feels full and I don't feel the typical signs of hunger e.g., growling or rumbling belly, but my body just feels hungry. Does anyone else experience this?

I'm curious, how drastically are you cutting calories?

your body (or mind rather) has become accustomed to eating a small amount of food so you dont feel hungry, yet your body isnt getting the proper energy to fuel itself so you feel drained throughout the day, correct?

if so, eat more. drink your calories if you cant eat any more

No, I don't feel drained at all and it doesn't happen all of the time. It's not a physical feeling at all. Just a general emptiness or a general "need", or "hunger" feeling but not like a physical feeling. It's very hard to explain.

I am actually on maintenance (TDEE) but went on vacation and am trying to lose a couple of pounds/inches so I went back to a pretty good deficit and counting my exercise for a couple of weeks.
