Just an FYI. Some of you might know this but I didn't and had to look it up. If your celery goes limp in the fridge just a few days after being purchased, you can cut the ends off and then cut the stalks in half, (or thirds, however you usually eat it) and put it in a bowl or mug of cold water. In about 25 minutes they'll be good as new! :)

I vaguely remember doing this as some sort of science project in grade school! Great idea though, I love celery!
  • Here's another cost effective way of keeping your celery crisp.
when you buy it....wash it ....give it a little shake and wrap it in tin foil .
I know...it seems crazy because they say don't cut lettuce with a knife
or it will turn brown but metal is ok for celery!
This really works well. I have been doing it for about 6 months.

We do the same thing. We wrap it tin foil right away. Keeps it crunchy for a long time!

That is great to know. I love celery but I don't eat it everyday. By the time I get to it, it is spongy and wilted.
