Calories question!

I am currently 95.8 lbs and looking to cut another two, preferably by around June 19th. I net anywhere from 1250-1380 a day, depending on the workout. Do you think that is a big enough defecit for the time frame I'm working with? The world won't stop if I don't lose the two pounds in that time, I just thought it would be nice because it is my graduation and the 21st is my grad party. I am 4'9".

Will you be standing on the scale at your party so that everyone can see the number?

I would normally pass this kind of post up because I have so little experience gauging appropriate calories for petite women.

    But I have to know:

Two pounds? How are you going to even know that you really lost two pounds, given normal daily fluctuation. Like can you actually see a difference. I find the concept a little baffling, but I'm not that small.

I know this is saracasm, and yes, the goal does seem silly :) but it's more of a mile stone thing, I guess. Maybe a way to gauge progress

Actually a 2 pound weight loss or weight gain is noticeable on short/petite women. I'm 5'4" and pretty petite and a 2 pound loss or gain is DEFINITELY noticeable.

You will need to create a deficit of 7,000 calories if you wanna lose 2 pounds.

You're right, two pounds doesn't make a big difference, even on a petite person. I think when I "see a difference" at that small of a change it's in my head. I figured setting little goals would help me stay on track, as I don't have very much to lose in the first place

I did some basic calculations and I came to the result that I will need around 981 calories per day to lose 2 lbs in 13 days. Needless to say, that will not be happening, because that's just not good. I guess my current defecit just isn't enough for that frame of time, so I decided to just continue to do what in doing, as I am seeing some progress, and take the weight loss as it comes. :)

Reduce salt and carbs a few days before the party and you'll shed water weight. Bam! 2lbs gone for the party.
