I started here around in 2011 and maintained a weight loss of 40 pounds until a few months ago, when I lost another 10 pounds. I just started regaining in the last 2 months only because I'm pregnant...but planning on sticking with MFP through the pregnancy and afterwards to minimize pregnancy weight and lose it all and then some after!
There are a lot of people on here who lost weight and maintained it, it's very doable! Honestly it's as simple as just sticking with this, day after day after day! Good luck!0 -
Maintaining weight loss is not impossible. Like everything else in life, you get out what you put into it. The problem with society is that people want to lose weight fast and maintain it with very little effort. If only it were that simple. It takes a LIFETIME of careful monitoring and dedication to physical activity to maintain weight loss. Sadly, most people let life get in the way and diet/exercise gets pushed to the back burner. They don't make exercise a part of their daily routine so that if it is not done, something seems out of place. If you find yourself fighting it constantly....chances are you will eventually give up and succumb to weight related chronic illnesses as you age. It guess it just depends on where your priorities are and where you see yourself in the future.0

I've maintained a 27 lb weight loss for about nine months.Today I was weighed at the doctors and it showed a gain, but I am not worried, because it's a different scale that I usually use and I did heavy cardio earlier in the day and was holding water.. I usually weigh anywhere from every two weeks to a month so my variations usually don't show.0
