Rounding myself up into starvation mode???

Maybe I've just hit a plateau or maybe there's another reason I didn't lose anything this week. :grumble: Whenever I eat anything I always round up - if I have almost a cup of something I enter it as a cup, if I have something that's 97 calories I round up to 100, if my two year old eats six bites of my English muffin I still log it as a whole. I always eat right at 1200 - 1300 calories and don't log any activity except purposeful workouts. So my question is - could I inadvertently be putting myself in starvation mode or do you think the difference would be so negligible it wouldn't matter??

One week isn't even near a plateau...there are plenty of reasons not to lose for a week. Water retention, extra food weight, extra waste...The same stuff that causes daily fluctuations can cause weekly fluctuations. Several weeks of not losing anything can be considered a plateau, but you can't expect to lose like clockwork each week. Remember, our bodies run on hormones, not math unfortunately :)

Also, if you still have 92 lbs to lose (I looked at your profile) 1200 - 1300 calories per day may not be enough even before rounding. I have 48 left to lose and I eat 1600+ on non-exercise days. Works pretty well, except for April where I didn't lose anything due to excessive stress. Just a thought! Congrats on your progress so far!!

Thanks, I rechecked my profile to make sure everything was entered correctly and it did change my calories to 1,390. Probably doesn't matter about the other; I'm just curious. Thanks for the encouragement - I'm down 19 from my highest. :blushing:
