Disney Vacation??

Srly take a step back and look at the big picture...how in the world would you think that taking a few days of vacation and just enjoying yourself would have any true impact in the grand scheme of things?
It's like someone who generally eats like **** and doesn't exercise saying, "I'm going on vacation for a week and all they have is healthful and whole foods and they're going to make me exercise...I'm worried I'm going to get all healthy and fit in a week doing this."
Your nutrition and fitness and health and overall well being are predicated on how you live most of the time...these things are not predicated on occasional events like vacations, holidays, birthdays, etc. BIG PICTURE....get out of the minutia.0 -
You can check out all the restaurant menus on allears.net That way you can plan what you might want to really splurge on. We went a few years ago and I actually lost weight. Last year we went and I went a little "cupcake crazy" as they added cupcakes everywhere. I didn't really worry about it, just enjoyed it because I LOVE EVERYTHING DISNEY! I think I gained a little, but not too much and that was with a cupcake every day! HAVE FUN!!0

I'd make 'smart' choices, but don't go crazy- you walk so much at Disney!
And I always bring my own snacks wherever I go (esp overpriced places), so I'd bring some snacks and just enjoy0 -
This coming December will be our 4th trip to Disney in 10 years and I plan to allow myself room. We get the dining plan, so I eat what is offered, and try to choose the healthier options. With the amount of walking that you will be doing, I really wouldn't worry that much about it. Don't go completely crazy, but enjoy yourself!!0

We are going in December as well!
OP: I will track, however I have no plans to stay within my daily caloric intake. I'd like to track to get an idea of just how much I consumed. Last time we went there was so much walking and other activities, I honestly don't think I'll feel any guilt. Its my daughter's birthday and I just want to all of us to have the best time possible. I decided I will be on 'break' for that week.0 -
Regardless of any vacation, I personally work out still. I'll either book at a hotel with a gym (usually a Marriott) or I'll pay for a week's worth of time at a nearby gym. Obsessive? I'll just say that it's part of my everyday life and I enjoy working out even on vacation. As for food, I don't see how having even just one whole bad day of eating will set someone back far enough that they have to start all over again. Vacations are for enjoyment from all the hard work and time one puts in. It's okay to get away from the hustle and bustle of stress from work (although I don't consider my work work).
