HELP! Question about water retention in summers.

I've been losing weight for a while now and have been slow but pretty consistent so far,with 4-6 lbs of weight loss every month.
Sometimes,I did stall for 3-4 days and observe small unreasonable fluctuations,but that was it.
However, for past 2 weeks, I've barely lost ANY weight.Not even a pound,it just fluctuates a little.I was starting to freak out because I'm actually eating less than what I ate back when I was effectively losing weight.I just couldn't find a justifiable reason for this to happen.
And then,I happened to read that our body is able to release less fluid in summers - meaning more water retention.Googled that subsequently and it seems true.
Now,I feel like this *could* be a possible reason for what is happening with me.Summer is at it's PEAK here (110° F + is quite normal),and I do have to go out everyday and face the heat too.
I know that you should drink more water and monitor sodium intake to minimize water retention,and though I manage to do the former (or atleast I think so..),latter is difficult for me.
If there is some other way to avoid water retention,please enlighten me,but what I want to know is : Assuming that my weight has stalled due to water retention,I am still losing fat (and/or muscle,if I'm unfortunate) ,right?
So is it certain that this water weight eventually go away or something?

Well to be honest what I've heard is (on our news) that humidity makes you retain water, your body looks wet but it's not coming from inside you, your body cannot sweat into wet (humid) air. Hot or high heat is not the same, typically you do sweat and can become dehydrated and then retain fluids because your body is trying to save itself. I highly suggest if it is not HIGH humidity there, that you try drinking more water. I drink 32 oz. within 5 minutes every single morning, then more throughout the day and if I'm outside at the pool or riding or walking I drink a lot more than 64 oz. recommended a day.0

Um yeah, it's quite humid here..And I do drink a lot more water than I used to.I think I do drink 6-8 glasses on a normal day,hard to go higher than that LOL0 -
