at what age did you notice a drop in athletic performance?

This is a basic question for those who actually did feel that. The following answers are redundant:

- I never did.
- I am 65 and stronger than ever.
- aging is for dummies.
- do you even lift brah.
- I lost a ton of weight so now I feel more energy.

How old were you when you realized that your body was not performing at the athletic level it used to, given that you were always athletic.

At about 45, I found I was having issues.
In many people their body just decides to click off the flow of certain hormones, even if they are active.

It's great if you never had that, but for many it is real.

Around my mid-30s I found I could not run long distances quite like I used to. Partly because of nagging injuries, mostly because it just wasn't there anymore.

I was an athlete in my teens. I came back to my sport as an adult at about 30 and it was way harder.

That being said someone said last I was stronger and better than.I.had ever been. However it is more of a struggle due to injuries, etc. So I guess 30. However I'm still going to push and continue being better than I ever was

Ps...I've had a few drink so forgive anything that doesn't make sense. :)

I've never been active enough before to notice if I'm losing it now. I'll let you know, I guess. lol

Not sure...can still bend over and grab my ankles...

can still get knees around my ears...

    can still go all night...

    all good.
  • I noticed I slowed down a little in my mid-30s. My lifestyle changed about that time, so that might have had something to do with it. In my late 40s, things were definitely different.

Basketball started getting harder in my late 30s. I was always an athletic fat guy, but then in my early forties, my hips started getting arthritic, in part no doubt because of the 40 years of abuse I put them through due to my weight.

Hopefully, losing a bunch of weight will reduce the stress and halt, if not reverse, the decline and I can get back to at least old man basketball.
