Reverse Diet after carb cycling?

I plan to lose a bit of body fat for about 10 weeks and then start bulking again.
So my plan is to eat the same amount of calories on every low day and every high day with maybe a larger refeed above maintenance once every 2 weeks and to never taper down calories if progress slows. So i plan to do a 1 day high carb for every 2 days low. After 10 weeks of doing this would a reverse diet be necessary despite the fact that the high days of carb cycling supposedly bring metabolism back up to normal? If so how long should my reverse diet take considering i will eat 500 calories below maintenance. Also, if on low days i aim to eat anywhere less then 100g of carbs, then how much more calories and carbs should i be eating on high days?

The high carb days won't effect your metabolism. Metabolism adaptations happen over one or two weeks.

A reverse diet is used to return metabolism to pre-diet levels and not to go from a deficit to maintenance, however if you want to do this you can, you will lose a little extra weight in that time and you should raise calories 50 per week.

    Hello Fatshredders,

I have been thinking of the same thing exactly and Im not convinced of reverse dieting after carbs cycling for the same reason you mentioned in your post.

Since your post has been here for 2 years, could you please share your experience with me ? did you try going back to maintenance level after carbs cycling without reverse dieting ? if so, did you gain any fat ?

It would be so appreciated if you let me know. Thanks
