I am 131.6 pounds. I looked up how many calories I burn walking for 60 minutes and it said 328....It seems like the number is to high or is it just me? Is it really possible I burn that much just walking for an hour?

depends on how fast you walk. You would need to be walking pretty fast like 4.5 mph or something.
edit: actually 3.5 mph so medium fast pace (looked it up on another site) Also, if you walk in the woods on rough terrain, up hills, etc it will be even more. Or carry a backpack.0 -

It depends more on the distance walked really. There are many different speeds you can walk at so a time isn't really helpful. That definitely seems high though. Where did you get that number? MFP?0

Depends on how fast you go! I'm 121lbs, and have an (annoyingly expensive) pedometer which takes into account speed, stride, incline etc. (i.e. it knows when I'm going up one of the enormous hills around where I live!) If I go 4.5mph - 5mph, I burn 220+ in about 45 minutes; today, I went 3 mph for 90 for the a similar burn. For 60 minutes really fast, it's not that far fetched, but for 60 minutes strolling...yeah...
Pedometers are great, if you care to shell out the £30 for a decent one :S

I was walking at a normal pace maybe 3 miles in that 60 minutes0

I walked 50 minutes at 4.0 and burned 342 calories. I weighed in at 125.6 last Sunday. I wear an HRM.0

Looks high even for total calories burned ... net burn is even lower.0
