to the summit of the Sea to Sky Gondola today :)

I basically climbed a mountain today :) well half of one haha :)

1000m elevation gain over 9.8 km - most of the elevation gain is in the first 2/3 of the hike. If I had to guess I would say the last 4 km have an elevation rise of 200m if that.

I am fat (I hate saying this but I was 272.2 this morning when I weighed myself) and out of shape so it took me way longer than most people 6 hrs 8 mins. But my philosophy is that the longer it takes the more calories I burn ;)

I was passed a lot but I don't care :) I feel so proud that I did it :) my friends will likely never see this but I am so grateful that they did it with me and never made me feel bad for being so slow. (I felt bad anyway though lol)

That hike is too hard on my chronic low back issues and I had to take percocet when I got home so I think I will stick to the Sky Pilot Valley trail and the Skyline Ridge Trails in the future :) which are only 2-3 hrs and about 500m elevation change :)

had to share though most won't care :) So proud :)

the start of the hike is probably a bit lower than the elevation of the highway in the distance :)

Wow way to go! What do you think of the gondola...I am sad they put it in. I lived in Squamish for a couple of years and just loved it there! The whole Sea to Sky valley is just amazing!
    Anyway, great accomplishment! :)

    Oooh, that's awesome.

That's on my "to-do" list when I work my way up to a decent fitness level.
