Hello. My name is Jessica and I am 30 years old. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17. Before I had my daughter 2 years ago I had lost 85 pounds. Sadly after becoming a stay at home mom and being stuck at home with a 10 week preemie I landed up gaining 80 pounds back. I kept trying to use the same diet and exercise routine that I used before and it hadn't helped at all. Instead of 2-5 pound losses a week I was lucky to lose a pound a month. So I started up again 2 months ago. I decided to try a low carb diet. I take in about 100g net carbs a day. I work out 5-6 days a week. I do interval training 3 days. Steady cardio 2 days a week and Hiking 1 day. I lift weights 5 days a week ( 3 days upper, 2 days lower). The first month I have lost 16 pounds but then i gained 2 back and have sat there for 3 weeks. I am coming to a loss on what to do to break this. I have increased my weights and have increase my intervals. If I take too long of a break I land up gaining weight back. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Given that you already know your endocrine system is likely messed up (the PCOS), I suggest you consult approrpiately qualified medical personnel, including a dietician. Then, if necessary, you can take what you've learned to a trainer to formulate a training routine that is tailored to you. My wife was diagnosed w/ PCOS many, many years ago; it greatly complicates weight loss. Get some help.....0
