High Leptin means good metabolism?

So on my past diets i didnt know as much as i know now. I never used ro refeed and ate too low calories with too much cardio with no weight training. Now this time i am wiser and have had refeeds once a week bit over maintenance, started lifting weights, starteddoing hiit, am doing less cardio and eating more calories. On my last diet i remember that i was alwasy hungry and even after binging i would only feel full after some hard core undulging and after gling on what intended to be a diet break i gainedball the weight back. But on this diet, i decided to have my first massive cheat day just because, and i was full after not even eating that much more than i usually do, like, calorie and carb dense foods like bread and pizza actually full me up as if i was never hungry and since i dont feel like i am starving all the time when i eat proper foods this obviously means leptin isnt as low as on the last diet, and this means metabolism isnt as low either?

Drop in leptin levels is just the body's response to a sustained calorie deficit. With a larger sustained calorie deficit, leptin levels will drop faster due to your body's natural adaptation to you losing weight. Along with drops in leptin levels, your metabolism adapts as well and slows to try and bridge the gap left by the calorie deficit. Basically, the smaller the calorie deficit, the less aggressive your body will try to adapt to the deficit and the slower your leptin levels will drop.
