LOOKING FOR INSTRUCTIVE ENCOURAGEMENT

I've reached my first weight goal of 191 lbs at 5 feet, 8 inches (Male, 54). I started at 114 lbs. when I enrolled in myfitnesspal.
Now my new goal is 181 lbs. and I plan on getting there by shooting for 176 lbs.

Has anyone out there successfully done something similar (regardless sex/age)? If so, what recommendations could there be, or your experience as to what worked best for you?

My approach has been simple: 1,000 to 1200 calories per day limit with an average of 900 spent. 4-5 work outs per week (Jogging 4-5 miles, or, 1.5 hour weights consisting of rounds working core, legs, and upper body). I am a professional officer (Army) and presently studying for Masters in Counseling Therapy - so I'm really busy.

Hope to hear from someone.
