I LOVE this and have totally done the soup can thing.

For pull ups the best preparation is pole fitness- fun and you ll do several pull ups in a few months
This is so true! Pole started me on my aerial fitness journey. Four years later, I can easily bust out some pull-ups.
It's the pole hold that really develops the lats. You can do the same basic exercise on a pull up bar (holding yourself up, arms bent, chin over bar), and negatives (lowering slowly from the hold position). It isn't nearly as fun as pole or silks or lyra or whatever, but it'll get you to a pull-up. Be sure to watch those traps! Keep the shoulders away from the ears, engage the back!0 -

I'm still working on pullups - I can only do 1 at a time, but I had a victory yesterday:
In January, I could only handle 3 modified pushups in a set. As of right now, I can do 10 REAL pushups in a set!!0 -
