Hey there everyone!
I've recently started getting bored doing cardio... I've always enjoyed strength training more than cardio. I have heard tons of great stuff about New Rules of Lifting for Women. I would really like to try this out... however I have heard some people don't think that this is a program for someone who needs to lose a lot of weight. I need to lose a substantial amount of weight and so far have only lost around 15 pounds. I need to start doing some things that I enjoy so I don't give up again. Has anybody been able to lose 50+ pounds doing more strength/weight training vs. cardio? Please feel free to share your thoughts and experiences! Thanks so much!

I haven't done the program but am familiar with it from being here. I have no idea why it wouldn't be good for someone looking to lose weight. Weight loss is from a calorie deficit, exercise has other benefits.
From what I understand, you can also do cardio with the program, but it is not recommended at first.
There is a group here if you want to check it out for more specific answers (in case you don't get anymore here).
