When entering my own foods - serving sizes

I have a question, when you enter your own food, how can you make more than one serving size for it? Like I've seen foods in the system that will for instance say...Cookies...Serving 2 cookies...but you can also choose serving 1 cookie, or serving whole bag 10 cookies...etc.
So how can I do that?

One serving will say 1.0. You can change those numbers--like highlight over it, then delete and put in 2.0 or whatever. Does that help?0

Like for instance look up Ranch Rice Cakes...it gives you 3 options under servings, but if I were to enter the information, it would only let me enter 1 option. (10 rice cakes = 1 serving) vs (10 rice cakes, 1 rice cake, and 1 bag)....if that makes sense.0

Okay--I see that. 1 serving would equal to 10 rice cakes..so say if you had 20..put in 2.0. better?
OR..if you had 5 or 1/2 a serving, you can put in 0.5 or 2.5 rice cake 0.25...0 -
Ya, that's what I do now....it just bugs me...I want it to SAY the different servings (this would be my neurotic kicking in lol).
Like for subway, I want to enter my foot long sub, but then be able to choose either foot long, or 6"...not have to put .5 of a foot long...if that makes sense. I'm just being picky...I saw it on other foods entered and I don't understand how to do it./
But I'll have to survive with decimals lol.0 -
This is how to do what you're asking:
Food > Database > (Search your food, ie, rice cakes) > Edit
Enter in the information (such as if the only option is choosing 10 rice cakes, change the serving information to fit the desired result) and then click "save".
So I just tried this and it didn't just add it to "My Foods," but also to the main database.0 -

I will have to go do this now, cause it is really annoying how most of the chicken breasts, for example, are in 4 ounce servings or grams...and I typically eat 6 ounces or so, and have no idea how many grams that is without changing the settings on my scale.0 -
Awesome! Thanks for the advice, Halo!0

Woot! Thank you.0

No problem; the more people who understand how to do this, the better this Web site is going to work for everyone
Plus there's so often that I don' t like the servings for my foods. Hopefully others will be annoyed enough to edit things into a format I prefer. Haha!
