best elliptical out there??????

I bought a used elliptical and I love it, but it is starting to wear down and I am needing something more durable. My fellow elliptical lovers out there, what brand do you suggest? Looking for reviews to help me in my decision making. I am looking at spending around 700-1000. I use mine about 3-5 times a week 30-60 minutes each time. Help!!!!

I love Precor but I think that's the only kind I've ever used.

I have a Pro-Form that I think is good.

I had a cheaper one from Pro-Form for several years. I used it lightly for about 2 years and then took a few years off. I had knee surgery and used it during my rehab and then really got into the fitness and weight loss aspect here at MFP. So I used it hard for about a year before it died on me. It only cost about $400 or so when I first got it, so I probably got about what I paid for.

This time I got one that cost about $1250 and so far so good. It's been making a bit of noise lately, so I plan to call them for some service. I bought a maintenance contract with it because I knew I would be using it a lot.

Overall I do like it, but I've only had it for 6 months. I can't give much more of an opinion than that yet.

My favorite is Precor, but they're pretty expensive new. If you can find one used it would be great. I've used several different Precor models and they've all been fabulous. The gym I go to now has Life Fitness ellipticals and I hate them.
