Splash!!! Any swimmers out here?

Anyone's got a lot of weight to lose(over 50 pounds) and swim regularly as your cardio?
I have lost 50 pounds just by swimming and watching what I eat.
Would like to lose 70 pounds more.
Anyone with me on this?

    Yup I've been swimming too. I like the fact that it is low impact but high cardio at the same time.
  • I just moved to a house with a pool and have started making the use of it this week - I have seen such different opinions of weightloss and slimming.

    50lbs is amazing! How long did that take you? I only have around 20-25 lbs to lose but would still like to share my sucess with you if thats okay.

    How many calories do you burn per session?

    I am doing aerobics too in the pool, 1kg hand weights and leg raises, sit ups from pool side etc.
  • I lost 45 pounds or so in the 8 months I was swimming. Thnext few months were slow as I didn't swim as regularly as I would have
    liked to. It was winter, I had exams and I fell off the wagon a little bit. Back to swimming and losing again. MFP puts my burn at 400
    ish for a 40 minutes session. I burn more if I do a HIIT routine I guess. But don't have accurate numbers for it
