Ovulation responsible for gain this week?

I used to be having 1800 calories a day and recently used MFP recommended cals for weightloss of 2lb a week and it was lowered to 1220 a day. I also used to only to 2 - 30min work outs a week but have bumped it up to 5 a week now. I hit my calorie targets everyday and I usually burn 320cals with the use of a chest strap heart rate monitor. Thing is, before hand, i was always losing even with just 2 work outs a week, however, this week I have gained two pounds, do you think this could be because I'm ovulating, as this time last month I had a very fractional loss in comparison with other loses.
Any Help will be much appreciated.
Current weight - 220lbs
Height - 5ft 6"

I sometimes retain water around ovulation and around my period. It's fairly normal. Also, if you recently increased your physical activity, there is a chance that your muscles are retaining a bit more water than usual. Taking measurements might be a good idea so that you can see your progress off the scale too!0
