Where to begin (again)... I've been away for a long time so it seems. I was previously on here, but started to see some things that I didn't like... about myself and the constant drama some people were injecting. I guess that will teach me to be one of the Adopt a Noob Mentors. So I took a break... A nice long break and a chance to refocus.

A little about me...

I am an island of testosterone in a sea of estrogen and live with my wife, two daughters, and my granddaughter. In my world, even the dog is female and if we had mice in our house, they'd likely be female as well....LOL. I was previously on here as jeffrodgers1

I am proudly Canadian and reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I firmly believe that there are two kinds of people in the world... those of us lucky enough to be Canadian and those who want to be... Don't worry I won't discriminate. I like almost everyone even though you may not be Canadian.

I am a fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (Canadian Football League), UFC and the Winnipeg Jets (NHL). I am not a fan of Basketball or Baseball and watching golf or tennis is about as fun as watching paint dry.

For physical activity, I am a distance runner, (a former Running Room coach) and cross train via cycling and boxing. I tend to run out of doors year round and have been known to survive winter marathons in -40 degree weather. This past winter I participated in a 30 km run across Lake Winnipeg. During the last 5-6 years, I've tried to push myself to see how tough I really am.

I started losing weight about 6 years ago when I reached over 325 pounds and I felt miserable. I was the picture of a dead man walking and had a herniated disk in my back, I had trouble breathing and felt I was on my way to an early grave. I am currently 100 lbs lighter and My weight loss goal is to lose 32 pounds but I need encouragement to do so. I want to be below 200 lbs. During the same time frame, I've run 4 full marathons, and 24 Half marathons.

If you are a positive person, If you don't play the games (such that the Forums generate), I could definitely use a little support.

I could use some new friends (or even some of the old ones back :) )

Thanks!
