Water vs Diet Soda and weight loss speed

I had a bad weight loss week, only 0.2 lbs when my goal is 1.5 lbs. I have a scale and weigh food and I'm an obsessive logger. I have a chest strap HRM with calories burned feature for measuring calories burned. I use this technique to get the net cals burned

My goal limit calories are 1810, and I eat back net calories burned, usually my total calories will be 2300-2400 including exercise calories.
I've had 5 weeks of approximately 1.5 lbs loss every week. The only thing I did differently this week was drink 4-5 diet sodas per day and 3 cups of water, instead of my normal 6 cups of water and only 2 diet sodas.
Does anyone else experience weight loss slow down when they go heavy on the diet soda?

I'm interested in this as well. I've never been a huge drinker of the sodas/pop but lately I've been enjoying Diet Dr. Pepper which is 0 calories per can. Some days I have none, 1, or 5... lol.0

The diet sodas haven't done anything but caused temporary water weight. More importantly, despite doing everything correctly, bowels, exercise, hormones, sodium, water retention, etc., effect the rate at which your body burn fat/calories from week to week. You just have to have patience and give your body time to catch up.0

Weight loss isn't linear. So you can't expect to lose the same amount every week. Weight loss is really about trends. But no diet soda (outside the 10 calories that you should be adding in your diary) will not slow down your weight loss.0

I've been drinking diet dr pepper and dr pepper ten! They're both great tasting diet sodas. I don't like diet pepsi or coke, yuck!0 -

I do log the 10 calories! Hell, I log the 9 calories for a tiny squirt of Pam cooking spray :laugh:0
