Success with Mfp's personalized fitness goals...?

Has anyone had success using ONLY Mfp's calorie goals? Meaning you have lost weight consistently by going by what Mfp says your calorie goals should be?

I have a sit down job and sit for 8 hrs a day. I only get up to get water and fix my lunch BUT..I workout 4-5 times a week and burn from 150-300 depending on my exercise of choice that day..

**Should I use mfp's sedentary and eat back exercise calories or set myself at lightly active and NOT eat back exercise calories?**

To lose 1 lb a week mfp gives me 1550 @ lightly active and 1330 at sedentary based off all of my personal information.

I still have about 45-50 lbs I want to lose so I am not interested in the TDEE method at this time, I will look more into that once I get closer to my goal.
