Hello i,m new to this, I'm 22 years old and weigh 23 stone. I have pcos, and i really need to lose weight for my sons sake. I need help on the nutrition side of things. I am not any good in doing my own dieting menu or anything if anyone could help me that would be great.

There are numerous diet programs. The reason is there is no real one solution fits all.
Build up your friends list (you are welcome to add me, if you wish) and log your diet so your friends can see what you are eating (you have to make it visible) and ask your friends to help make suggestions based upon what you are currently eating.
Pick one thing at a time to change until you adjust to a diet you are happy with that helps you meet your goals.0 -
I hear many different things in regards to the best way to lose weight, my friend is refusing to eat anything with carbs in while another is swearing by the paleo diet. I'm a firm believer in not cutting things out of your diet unless you have an allergy or really strong views in regards to particular food (I'm a lactose intolerant vegetarian, so I don't have meat or dairy). I have found that if I don't restrict stuff I can learn to moderate my food intake especially when it comes to the sweet treats, it also stops me from feeling the need to binge after weeks of not allowing myself to indulge!
I find it helpful to log what I plan to eat in advance as well, so I know exactly how many calories I'm taking in, and I can adjust and swap foods to meet different macro counts if necessary. If you want to feel free to message me! I have PCOS as well
As most people say as long as Calories out > Calories in, you tend to be fine0 -

Lifestyle change........I don't follow a specific plan. I eat what I like, BUT logging food has been an eye-opening experience for me.
I try to eat better now....I eat less processed foods than I used to. Processing can take out vital nutrients, fiber, and protein. As long as I am eating "mostly" healthy foods I can make my macros (protein, fat, and carbs).

Another lifestyle change that I'm adopting is moving more. It's nothing extreme.....but rather something I can do for a very (very) long time.0 -
