I know a girl who has a zillion selfies on her facebook page, which is fine and dandy but...

She has a filter on every pic that turns her 20 shades lighter than what she really is. I really can't help but notice this as she posts a filtered pic of herself (in a very provocative pose) almost every day.

This got me wondering if she ever owns a picture that actually resembles the real her. I think everyone should own at least one accurate representation of themselves in case they go missing, otherwise, we won't be able to find you !

    Why would you use a filter that makes you 20 shades lighter? I don't get it.. most people would want to be "tanned" or darker no? :huh:

    i have always been one of those people who hated pictures not bc of how i looked but because of the people i am with making me take 50 of them to look "the way they want" just take the dammed picture who cares ? right

    I thought so too, but I guess somewhere in the middle is where most people find it to be "attractive".

    This reminds me of an article on the news a while back where a teenage girl had gone missing and the photo they were using on her missing posters and all overt the media was her doing hardcore duck-face. I thought pretty much the same thing - surely there ought to be one non-duckface photo to use for her missing photos?:

    I use my instagram photos for social networking sites, but its literally just one instagram effect but I do think they look cool :) personal preference I suppose! I look like the same person in real life.

    If people wanna post certain pics of themselves to make them feel more confident then so be it I suppose.
