Infinite Intensity...

Big hello to everyone from sunny Falkirk.

First post on myfitnesspal.

Today was the first day of my "Infinite Intensity" plan. I bought the book last week from Rosstraining, read it through and drafted myself up a plan.

I'm sticking to his programming idea, cycling the 4days on/1 day concept.

Day 1:Warrior Challenge + Finisher
Day 2: Interval Training + Core
Day 3: Strength (1,3,5,7,9 Strength and 2,4,6,8 Explosive Strength) + Finisher
Day 4 : General Physical Preparedness + Core

My equipment at the moment is:
2 Spinlock Dumbells with about 8 x 5kg weight plates (some of which came from other weight sets)
1 10kg Medicine ball
Homemade sandbag with about 40kg worth of sand, in weighted refuse sacks.
1 8kg Kettlebell
1 Exercise Mat

I'm saving up for a pair of 20" Olympic Dumbbells and an Iron Gym Pull Up Bar...I have plenty to keep me going for a while.

Anyway, today's Warrior Challenge is done and dusted.

5 rounds, for time, of:
10 medicine ball slams
10 burpees

Jumping jacks as finisher.

Total time, including 60 jumping jacks, was 13min 12 sec.

Sweat pouring down me but a big smile on my face :P

    Welcome to MFP!

I have and read this book as well, good read. Love Ross Enamait and what he represents. I incorporate some of his routines into my program as well. He knows his stuff when it comes to minimalist training as well.

Another good read of his is "Never Gymless"

Keep us posted on your progress, are you doing the 50 day?

Hey Steve. I'm so new. i haven't even done my profile yet. Get around to it in a minute.

Absolutely brilliant at what he does. Watching his videos is really inspiring, the guy has really busted his *kitten* to get where he is.

I haven't got around to buying "Never Gymless" yet but i am looking to add it to my collection. I have been researching and researching everything "Budget Home Gym", so i'm guessing it will be a welcome addition.

Does it follow a similar set up to "Infinite Intensity"?

I'm doing a 50 day programme, using the sample program as guidelines . Made little tweaks here and there, mainly due to the lack of ability to hit the reps, pull ups being the only exercise that causes me this problem at the moment. Used to hit 25+ with bodyweight few months ago, so looking to get back into those numbers again.

I agree! Some of his motivation videos are great. I first found him when I was searching for some conditioning routines to help with my Kickboxing and Boxing, since he's a boxing trainer by day really. Then found all his other stuff, bodyweight training and DIY equipment.

Never Gymless, I believe came out before Infinite Intensity, and if I remember correctly, Infinite has some of the same exercises listed. Never Gymless isn't as program based, it's more about DIY and Minimalist training.

If you could do 25 pull ups only a few months ago, I don't think it would be a problem getting back to that point fairly quickly.
