Butter Substitute???

can u substitute unsweetened applesauce in place of butter? :huh:

i'm making brownies from scratch.:happy:

    hmm i dont know if you can, but you can experiment and let us know :) how bout adding some olive oil instead of butter, i do that a lot where it asks for butter, i just add olive oil, or leave the butter out.

    well i know in place of actual oil i can use applesauce lol. so i'll try it out & c. might make some 2nite mos def will make some 2morrow night.

    update:

    unsweetened applesauce CAN b used but b prepared 2 add somethin 2 it. :angry: the brownies tasted like they were missin somethin 2 them. :cry: when i made them the old fashion way they tasted FABULOUS of course. but that was probably b/c they were abt 140calories a brownie lol! :laugh:

    so now back 2 the drawin board. :sad:
