Ladies, odd but serious question??

Do you wear different underwear when working out? I am not a big fan of bikini bottoms as they aren't comfortable and leave lines. Sorry if TMI but I wear thongs because I find them to be much more comfortable, but while working out they just don't work. Any gals wear/really like a certain style/brand for working out??

I never wear thongs. They aren't comfortable at all to me. It's a massive wedgie to me personally. I like wearing boy shorts when I work out, and I can rock some bikini bottoms if necessary.
I can't do thongs, g-strings, or granny panties during a workout or in everyday life.0 -
My OBGYN told me thongs are awful for working out in..she said she deals with at least 5 women a year with rashes "up there"..she reccomended cotton bikinis.0

Probably TMI, but I don't wear underwear while working out. If they're not there, they can't creep up and make me uncomfortable while I'm finding endorphin bliss.0

I hate the lines, so I wear what I wore to work- usually Hanky Panky thongs (which are super comfy)0

I tend to do the same! If I wear normal panties, i get this weird chaffing in the small concave where my thigh meets my hip.0 -

^^^^ THIS! totally, this.0 -
Oh goodness, the thought of wearing thongs makes me cringe (hate, hate, hate), but working out in them?
I can only imagine the wedgie. That being said, I swim a lot, so I don't worry so much in that regard. I like wearing bikini bottoms for a swimsuit. I think the fabric feels nicer and more lightweight, but that could just be me.0 -
100% cotton bikinis/low-rise
I'm at the gym, I don't give a rat's *kitten* about panty lines :P
What matters is that I stay comfortable, wedgie free, and there's no funkyness going on down there0 -
I've yet to find comfortable workout underwear.0

I think it depends on your body type. I thought 'boy shorts' would work well for working out but my thighs touch and I found them riding up on me and bunching up in my crotch. I prefer a bikini type that are seamless. I don't really care about a seam showing it is more for chafing or bunching ..if they are seamless this won't happen.
Under armour, asics, lululemon all make undies. I do have two pair of under armour..I think they are called "pure stretch cheeky underwear' and they are my favorites.0 -

Same here. I don't wear clothes at all, but I can get away with that because I workout in my room0 -

Definitely this. Get some nice workout shorts/capris and you don't need anything under them. Or go for the running shorts with built in undies (I'm not a fan but I know a lot who are).0 -
I don't wear any while working out. I'm just more comfortable without them.0

I wear cotton briefs due to how sweaty I get. Wearing anything else is asking for problems, as far as my body is concerned!0

I HATE thongs.
I like to wear girl boxers/shorts. Comfortable, and they look good0 -

I hardly ever do. You can buy the pants and shorts that have it built in, I don't know if you've ever seen them but you can typically get it at like Nike and probably even Walmart. To me that works best! But it's just whatever you're comfortable with.0

I would def not wear a thong when working out. You can get chafing ora UTI. I wear special workout underwear from target. C9 brand. I think they are called hipster style. Super comfy but not all that flattering. Still I'll take comfort and health with vpl over an infection any day.0

none.
at all.
unless it's.... you know. red week.
ain't nobody got time for dat.

I too go sans undies while working out, unless they are absolutely necessary (TOM). Way more comfortable that way. I can't stand my undies riding up while I'm running, and nothing worse than having a wedgie while in the squat rack...lol!!0
-
I honestly don't know how anyone works out in a thong - can just imagine the discomfort squatting! :ohwell:
I usually wear cotton briefs or girl boxers - both of which are pretty loose around that area. Can't say I'm too bothered about knicker-lines tbh (in the gym anyway!)0 -
For me personally, it depends on the type of workout I'm doing. If I'm running bleacher circuits or doing an HIIT workout, I prefer cotton bikinis. If I'm walking, jogging, running sprints, etc. I love my boy shorts. I did find that size matters for sure! If they aren't tight enough they crawl too much, if they are too tight they cause more chaffing and discomfort. That's my two cents.0

I actually have specific "work out undies" as a reward for X amount of weight loss!! I haven't decided exactly at what amount lost I'm going to put it yet (probably when my regular underwear starts getting big, haha) but it will happen! Probably something like the Moving Comfort Workout Bikini, but I still need to do some research.
Of course, I'm also an avid hiker, and things like uncomfortable underwear can REALLY kill you on a 17 mile trek, so they'll be serving double duty in that regard.0 -

Haha this is what I do now so that's why I am asking others opinions0 -
Hahah I actually tend to go for the undies that GIVE me lines. Those are the ones with the tight elastic that keep them in place. Wedgies suck. So I go for full coverage bikini or just... regular. I don't even know what they're called. You could try wearing loose running shorts (the pretty black ones with the vibrant coloured piping on the edges)0
