Not so much a success as a work in progress, but I wanted to post since I just hit 2 years on MFP:

Edit: Split the front picture so it fits in the MFP format.

Due to many circumstances over the past 365 days, I've failed to achieve my original goal of reaching a significantly lower BF %. Many factors were under my control but not all and life is what happens while you make other plans. Taking a longer term view, I have kept my weight the same +/- 5 lbs and been as consistent as possible with lifting heavy. Overall I would say I managed a slow recomp. I'm actually 6 lbs heavier in the latest set of pictures (213 instead of 207 in the middle set) while looking slightly better, and my lifts have gone up by by a modest amount as well.

Squat: 425 -> 415 (dislocated my ankle badly in December, almost back to par now)
Deadlift: 440 -> 460
Bench: 260 -> 285
OHP: 170 -> 175

I was following a high volume program (Sheiko) for a long time but eventually ground to a halt and spun my wheels for a few months before switching to 5/3/1 recently and beginning to make gains. I plan to clean up my diet a bit more while continuing on 5/3/1 and will work to achieve my goal of a lower BF over the next year.

    Looks great! You can see the distinct progression from overweight to bordering skinnyfat, to putting on muscle and filling out and leaning out in all the right places. Thumbs up!
