How much is too much fibre?

Hi my daily recommended fibre is 25g. I average on double that, about 50g. Is that too much? I'm vegan and enjoy eating healthy. How do I get less fibre?

put it this way, you'd know if it were too much. fibres good for you though, and as a vegan you'll probably find it tough to cut down on it since fruits and veggies are typically high fibre

You don't need to get less. It's only 'too much' if you suffer digestive issues from it (gas, bloating, constipation) and that usually goes away once you're used to a higher level. Have at it!

    thanks
I've tried to cut down but the only real way that's possible is to eat less healthy as I tend to eat a lot of fruit, veggies, beans, brown rice, and oats. I don't feel like it's a problem so I won't worry about it :)

What do you mean by "eat less healthy?"

No one really tries to cut down on their fiber (barring digestive upsets). It's one of those 'the more the better' things. The target guidelines are minimums, not maximums.
