p90x3 and Running

I am going through police officer hiring processes, NYPD to be exact.

That is a video of what I have to do (With a fourteen pound weighted vest) Unfortunately, I failed this test the first time around, despite the fact I am in college swimming and was running three to four days a week. I took this test about eleven days ago, and have to take it again in ten days.

I decided to begin p90x3 and I am a little over one week into p90x3; I love it!! I feel my entire body being worked out, I am sweating, slowly pushing myself out of my comfort zone and I am out of breath (It's a good thing, I am not complaining :P)

I was doing c25k before this, clearly it was not enough to get me to pass my test. My question here is, Do you guys think p90x3 will be enough to get me to pass this test and will it help me with running? Or should I be adding some running a few days a week into my workout as well?
