Newbie - needing support/advice

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the site, and want to lose weight !!!Not sure where or how to start. - Any idiots guide for me would be great

looking to meet people on here like me who need to lose weight so that we can motivate each other.
I have decided enough is enough and want to ditch the pounds or should I say kilo's !!!
Notice the weight creeping up the past two years.
Completed a charity run, but after that gave up running +retired due to torn knee ligament.
Unfortunately I am limited with exercise due to a neck/back injury which is gradually resolving.
So you see my dilemma - I feel limited with my fitness
Food - love it !! Seafood Diet has cost me my waist line !!b portion size how much weight is that !! know its a fist size but weight of food - another matter !!
Good points - I love my fruit and veggies, prone to pasta + sauce and love naughty foods including chocolate - bad points

So I ask my self is there any chance i could lose 10kg by August to start with and then set future goals from there

would welcome a big hello and perhaps a kick in the right direction to get going
