    Glad that the USA held its own - though barely...

    I'm pretty sure that was the fifth or sixth fastest goal in WC play.

    And I don't recall ever reading a description of the team that won as having "held its own". What an interested choice of phrase.

    I played soccer during school and I wouldn't mind playing now but I can't wait for the World Cup to be over. I don't want to watch. I don't care who wins. I'm just sick of hearing about it! I don't understand how or why people get so riled up about it.

    The underdog deserved at least a tie and arguably a win in Argentina v Iran earlier today. What a heartbreaking loss for Iran.
