    I'm 5'3", 204 and wear a size 16 (almost down to a 14) and I was surprised to see that someone my height and approximately my weight wears such a smaller size than I do.

    Yeah, when I started at 215 (I'm an inch taller), I was in a 16 (sometimes an 18, on 'bad' days). I'm 30lbs less and an inch taller than the OP and I'm in a 14 most of the time. I'd need to weigh 160 to be a 12 all the time. Which just goes to show that bodies are built in a wide variety of shapes!

    I started at 202 and a tight 16. That was a wakeup call for me!
    I'm trying for a 10, but loose 12's maybe the smallest I get because of my big hips from 5 births. In high school, I thought I was huge because I was a 10 and all my friends were 0-6. Now I know better!

    I guess I don't understand what we are looking for.

    I think OP means she's not really the norm weight for the size she's wearing. I'd tend to agree, I know there is a huge range accounted for by different body types but I see here that most people who wear a size 12 are in the range of 160-190 rather than 200, regardless of height.

    Not that it really makes any difference. But I'm pretty sure that's what she is wondering...how "rare" it is to be in her pant size at her height/weight.

    Yeah, I was kinda like :noway: myself... I'm 5'1.5", 180ish lbs and wear a 16 as of two weeks ago... and that's so it's not pasted onto my butt...

    Haven't tried 8 yet.

    Clothing size has more to do with BF% than scale weight anyway. You can weigh more and be in a smaller size than someone who weighs less at any height.

    I know that everyone is different but I have a few friends who are a size 12 but weigh a LOT less than me. I was just curious:)

    You are correct, When I was a size 12 I was in the 150's. I'm 5'3" and currently 116 lbs size 6..thanks to my thighs
