Milk vs a Plain latte

When I logged 1/2 cup of milk for breakfast it said there were 6 carbs and 0 sugars. Then when I logged an unsweetened latte as a snack, it said there were 18 carbs and 17 sugars. Obviously these have different amounts of liquid, but I would expect either the milk to have "sugar" or the latte to have no sugar, since its just streamed milk and 2 shots of espresso. What is going on here?

A latte is a shot or two of espresso plus milk. If you order a tall latte from SBux, it's 12oz. About 10oz is milk. That's 2.5x te milk as your 1/2c serving...0

Milk has lactose in it which is a disaccharide comprised of galactose and glucose. Lactose is classified as sugar. Unless you're diabetic, it doesn't matter. Just keep track of the carbs, don't worry whether or not it's a sugar.0
