My knees!!

Hey everyone. I have been doing two twenty minute runs every day, and while my mind loves it and I don't want to stop, my knees are killing me. I have been off my feet for a long time, 6 years to be exact, and at one point was 280 pounds, It's also inside knee pain, that hurts to touch. I really don't want to stop running and have been pushing through it. After I get running the pain isn't as bad, but the rest of the day is horrible. Should I go to 1 run a day and slow my progress, decrease the times per week I run, or keep pushing through it until my knees get stronger. I used to run a lot as a teenager, one of the better runners in my area, but knees weren't an issue back then lol. Any advice would be great. Thank you.
Oh and I use Minimus Ionix M3090 V3 running shoes. Few months old, only recently used for running. They were used in the gym. Very comfy.

I'd suggest
1. see a doc and find out why you have so much pain. Pain is your body talking to you and should not be ignored. Even my personal trainer will not let me work out if it causes any pain
2. substitute a different cardio activity besides running. You can walk. You can bike/cycle. You can swim. I have a bad foot, so I have to substitute biking most often. There are alternatives to running.0 -
I would suggest 3 things- 1. cut back to one run a day. 2. don't run EVERY day. 3. check with a doc.0

Sounds like an overuse injury.
I'd suggest reducing the number of runs that you're doing, and concentrate on the quality of those runs. Work up to a single longer run, rather than two very short runs. Personally speaking I don't really get into the flow until I've been running for 15 minutes.
I'd also suggest not running every day, for now, but leave yourself a rest day to recover from the impact.
Notwithstanding that, if you've injured yourself then take time to let that recover.Oh and I use Minimus Ionix M3090 V3 running shoes. Few months old, only recently used for running. They were used in the gym. Very comfy.
While they may be comfy, they may not be appropriate for your gait, and as they've been used for other trianing then they may be maladjusted.
I'd recommend getting fitted for appropriate shoes, and dedicate them to running only.0 -
Thanks for the advice everyone. I ran yesterday for 40 minutes and when I was done the pain was intense. Could barely walk this morning too. I'm going to walk the next few days, and go see the doc on Monday. Also taking the advice to have shoes fitted. Thanks again everyone.0
