Phentermine........

I don't know if this is in the right board or not, but I thought it may be fitting. I have recently been taking Phentermine 37.5 again after being off it for several months. I lost a good deal of weight the first time, but this time, I haven't lost anything. I am being very careful about what I eat and I go walk/run the lake by my house 3x a day (45 mins each). Still i haven't lost anything.
I was told that Phentermine works better if you don't work out at all, and also if you eat more. I am wondering of this is the problem. I have lost a total of 54 pounds, but still have another 46 to go.
I have also been 'toying' with the idea of taking a pill and a half to jump start my weight loss again. I can't decide if I have hit a plateau, or if I need to workout harder. I am VERY FRUSTRATED!
Please help!

Phentermine is just an appetite suppressant. It won't, in itself, cause any kind of weight loss. It can help you eat at a deficit. Exercise will also help you achieve that deficit.0

It is not wise to adjust dosages without your doctor's guidance as phentermine can cause high blood pressure, heart issues, etc...please talk to your doctor if you have concerns about your weight loss program.0

Nothing about working out less and eating more will help you. I tried Phentermine once under the suggestion of my doctor and wouldn't do it again. It does nothing to truly benefit your body, and as long as you are able to monitor your exercise and food intake (this site is a huge help, clearly) you'll find much better results. The only thing I liked about the pill was the energy it gave me.
If you do continue taking it, just keep up the exercise, and make sure you're being honest about what you're eating.
Also, this probably would have gone better under another board. General Diet and Weight Loss Help, maybe?0
