I hope this helps...

For those of you questioning how often to weigh yourself, this post is aimed toward you. Persoanlly, I weigh myself every day. I like to know the affect of what I did, or didn't do, the day prior will have on my body. I like to see my trends. It benefits me to know how the massive amounts of sodium I took in the begining of this month, and lack of water to flush it out, affected my weight. I like to know how the mere 200-400 calories I went over my budget every day a few weeks ago affected my loss, or lack there of. If I weighed myself weekly, yeah I'd probably feel better about myself and my graph would show a straighter downward line but then I wouldn't have the exact formula my particular body and lifestyle needs to make the changes I want. (Yes, this is my personal graph from when I started MFP) I hope it can be an inspiration to those of you who get discouraged by weighing yourself everyday and seeing the scale go up. I am by no means saying it's best to weigh everyday. For some people, it would drive them nuts and I wouldn't recommend that. Weighing everyday works for me. It requires a certain amount of mental strength (not that we're not all strong in our own ways) to not get discouraged and quit.

Fitness is a lifetime journey, not a one time destination.

Props on the consistency over time.

Thank you for posting this. I've read a lot on the forums about this but seeing it in graph form helps and is reassuring.
