Bandlastics vs dumbbells?

I have both and on some websites it says that training with elastic bands is more useful as a) you have permanent tension b) it is less dangerous and c) you can train muscles in all directions not only vertically up and down.

My bands go up to 210lbs. My dumbbells go up to 52.5lbs. (Bowflex)

What is your take on training with elastic bands?

    im not a fan because they tend to move from side to side which makes the movement sort of shakey

    they provide resistance though so its really just a matter of preference
