Why can't you use the Database to put in recipes?

I was trying to put in a recipe I frequently make and I'm not able to use the full database. Is this just me, or is this a flaw in the system?

I have the same problem, I cook a lot of my meals at home and it makes it harder for me to keep track of it all. If you figure out a workaround for this, be sure to let me know!

if you use the old recipe calculator, it seems to not be an issue, it's only happening on the new recipe calculator. not sure how the apps handle it though.
