Pilates for a toned stomach?

I run 2.5 miles three mornings a week and i walk about 3 miles a day in my everyday life and work a moderately active job but i've recently taken up pilates and yoga.
If i do 30 minutes of pilates 5-6 times a week will this help tone my stomach? i'm very happy with the rest of my body but it just seems the last little bit of fat from my stomach won't budge, i have a little pooch that makes me extremely self conscious, will this help me lose an inch or two in the long run?

I started Pilates last week. My upper tummy is flat but I have a little pooch. I will have to wait and see of it helps! A few years ago I used to do 100 crunches every evening and that made my tummy really toned. But since then my back is more sensitive so I'm mainly using Pilates to strengthen my core to stop the back pain. There are exercises I do for my abdominal so but I've not been doing them long enough to say for sure it'll help. But the instructors is pure muscle!0

Shedding body fat is all diet.
I had a pooch. I was told 'you'll never lose it, it's too hard', but I just lost weight and away it went.0 -
Pilates can help strengthen the core muscles but it will not reduce fat. You still need a calorie deficit in order to do this.0

As others are saying, you can't spot lose fat on specific parts of your body, pilates will help with core strength and tone the muscles but the fat loss will have to come through diet (you can't out exercise a bad diet is something I remember when I reach for the chocolate)0

sure, it won't hurt... but in the end it really is all about your diet. and that tummy area is often the last place you lose from.0

I understand that diet is a big part of it but i have been focusing on that for a long time now i eat very clean for the most part and have a calorie deficit. I was just wondering if this could be the last push to help get me where i want to be.
But thank you all for the answers, i found them helpful:)0 -
Also keep in mind that there are many different muscles that make up our abdomen areas so you'd have to do more than just the Pilates 100, which tackles mostly the upper part. Pooches are generally the lower part of abs so crunches won't help much with those.0
