Losing fat in the lower abdominal area comes with reducing your weight overall (through cardio and calorie deficit). Unfortunately you cannot spot train and tighten or get rid of fat in one area.
Lower ab exercises you can incorporate into your workout to strengthen that muscle group:
Hanging leg raises, V-Ups.0 -
I had a baby pouch when I went from a size 18 to a size 4 about 10 years ago.
I took ephedra, exercised every day doing step workouts and walking and weight lifting and though I wasn't calorie counting, the ephedra had me eating only about a spoonful of food per day.
I never got that pouch to go away.0 -
She said tighten so I'm going to assume she knows she needs to strengthen her muscles as well as lose overall fat:
- reverse crunches, where you lift your bum a little off the floor
- legs raised in the air, straight and make small circles
- sit on your butt bone and balance yourself as if you were a V but keep your knees up and your calves and feet raised and parallel to the floor
- do the above but wth your legs straight too
- life heavy weights and remember to engage your core always
- make a point of keeping your abs engaged all the time.
- there's more, just look it up in google.
I noticed in my lifetime that SO MANY women just stand with their stomachs flung out, as if it's too much trouble to stand straight and hold in your gut. I may be heavy-ish now, but my core is strong because I've always kept it engaged, always, my entire life, even when I younger. And I wasn't always heavy either. It's a habit, like any other habit.0
