I'm starting to walk 4 miles a day for exercise. Plan on moving up to running eventually. I have a question on ankle, wrist weights and weight vests. Can anyone recommend one or the other pros and cons of each.. Do I really need any of them?

Thanks in advance

you dont really need them, and ankle weights can cause injury because they tend to train the muscles on the front of your legs without doing much for the back

just stick to walking and work your way up to running as you said

I don't think you need them unless you are only going to walk. I moved from walking to running with-in a month and 3 months before i could run 3.5miles without stopping. so I would skip the weights and maybe buy a hydration belt so you will always have water with you and not have to hold it in your hand.
