Where were you during the OJ Simpon verdict?
The ID network is currently showing the "Trial of the Century" from 20 years ago (dang it's been that long). The OJ Simpson trial was the most costly trial in California history. I remember when the verdict was being read that I was at work and our whole office was huddled around the radio. Half of our office cheered and the other half were in shock. I was in shock. Even funnier now that I think about it, is that many people were "paging" each other after the verdict.
How about you?

I don't remember where I was for the trial verdict, but I remember where I was when the "car chase" was going on.
I was in a bar, there was a big screen TV behind the band tuned to the chase, and the band played Hey Joe and dedicated it to OJ. *laughs* Hard to believe it was that long ago.0 -
It was the summer between my junior and senior years of high school and I remember I had the day off from work, so I was sitting on the sofa simultaneously drawing, watching, and talking about it with my dad who was sitting in his recliner nearby.0

At work (phone tech support), somebody read a new blurb on AOL about the verdict. I said, "Huh... go figure." and went right back to whatever I was doing. I knew about the trial and the build-up, but really didn't give two $h!ts about it.0

I remember it like it was yesterday, I was delivering my second son!0

If the thread doesn't fit, you must acquit.0

Well this isn't divisive at all.0

I was working as a Physical Therapist Assistant when the killer was set free. During the chase I was at the Jersey Shore watching it with dh. Does anyone remember the "fake" ID witness who called the tv station and made a Howard Stern reference at the end saying "And Ba Ba Booey to y'all." I was DYING as I was a huge Stern fan back in the day!0

Was actually outside of my high school with the entire school because of a bomb threat. People had their car radios on waiting for the verdict. The verdict came and some cheered, some boo'd. A riot nearly broke out. It was nuts.0

If karma plays a role, the deaths of Johnnie Cocharan, Robert Kardashian, and the demise of F Lee Bailey (disbarment) certainly seem to go against the verdict.

I was in the military...I was rehabbing my back and on light duty and driving a base shuttle van. I heard the verdict on the radio.0

Third or fourth grade... I remember our teachers pulled out a TV and had us watch it live. Then used the entire trial as a lesson for teaching us about the Justice system.0

7th Grade English Class. We listened to the verdict on the radio.
How crazy is that, though, that class stopped so we could hear the verdict of a murder trial. When does that ever happen nowadays?!0 -
I was at a workshop full of CPAs. They actually wheeled in a TV into the lunch banquet room and we all watched. How bizarre is that?0
